Who We Are

Welcome, Kayakers! We’re Daniel and Shelby Hattabaugh, owners of Paddle Lake Powell. We were both born and raised in Page on beautiful Lake Powell. We have two children who keep us pretty busy.  With such an amazing playground just minutes from home, we wanted to share all that fun and beautiful scenery with you!

About Lake powell

Lake Powell was formed in 1963 with the completion of the Glen Canyon Dam which held back the mighty Colorado River. It took seventeen years for the lake to fill completely, forming a vast blue lake surrounded on all sides by gorgeous sandstone.

It is America’s second largest man-made lake. In the years since it’s creation it’s become the ultimate destination for outdoor water recreation, camping, and vacations. Situated among the beautiful red rock of Utah and Arizona, it is indisputably one of the most beautiful and scenic destinations in the United States.

Here at Paddle Lake Powell, we wanted to share the beauty of this lake with others, so we opened up a place for kayak rentals. Come join us on the beautiful blue water, and spend time taking in the breathtaking sights Lake Powell has to offer.
